1277 Past Use By

An exhibition that questions the value we place on mass produced objects by challenging a designer to give new life to that which has ‘past its use by’.

In response to the State of Design Festival’s 2009 Theme; “Sampling the Future” 1277 highlights how the everyday decisions we make as individuals has significantly divergent economic and environmental effects. This insightful yet playful exhibition converts used Metcards into forms of art.
